Local attractions

There are over 5 golf courses within a 15 minute drive, two can be found in Cowden and the famous Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Club in Forest Row. There is sailing at Bough Beech Reservoir and horse racing at Lingfield Park. Fishing can also be arranged at one of the many well-stocked local lakes.

There are numerous cultural attractions within a short distance ranging from Chartwell (home of Sir Winston Churchill), Hever Castle (childhood home of Anne Boleyn), Chiddingston Castle, Sissinghurst Gardens, Penshurst Place, Emmets Gardens and Knole Park.

The nearest town with shops is Edenbridge, five minutes away and has a good
selection of shops, restaurants and leisure facilities. Edenbridge has six antique shops that have a national reputation. The Spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells, 15 minutes away, also offers excellent shopping.

The nearest train stations are at either Edenbridge or Lingfield (Victoria 45 minutes). Also within a short car journey is the M25 and Gatwick Airport is 25 minutes.
